Rees Veterinary Centre has been providing top quality veterinary care since 1985. We strive to provide our patients with the best possible veterinary care in a modern practice with caring professional staff.
Rees Veterinary Centre was acquired by CVS (UK) Limited in December 2009 and now operates as part of this larger group of veterinary practices and veterinary service providers. We also have a sister practice in Glazebrook, All Creatures Veterinary Centre.

Facilities
At Rees Veterinary Centre the first thing you will encounter will be our large, free client parking area. We have four consulting rooms and our reception has a large waiting area with a separate, quiet area for cats. Recently we upgraded our conservatory to transform it into a comfortable environment for extended consultations or clients visiting their hospitalised pets. It has soft lighting, a sofa and bean bags as well as access to our beautiful fenced in garden which can be used on sunny days.
We have disabled access to our building, a large accessible consulting room and conveniently located accessible public restroom.
We have a wide range of facilities which are essential in the running of a modern veterinary practice. Our digital X-ray and ultrasound machines allow us to examine areas within the body that are difficult or impossible to assess from just a physical examination.
As part of our recent upgrade we have invested in industry leading dental equipment which has revolutionised the dental care we can offer to your pet. Dentistry is such a large part of our day to day work that we have also installed a special dental tub table and created a dental work area with its own anaesthetic facilities so dentistry can be performed at any point in our schedule.
We have our own in-house laboratory in which we can run a wide range of different blood tests and get the results within a few minutes. This is particularly important for critically ill animals where treatment needs to start as soon as possible. We also regularly assess other types of samples such as urine and skin scrapes.
As well as our diagnostic facilities we have a separate operating theatre for carrying out sterile surgical procedures. Our theatre, X-ray room and prep room have their own anaesthetic machine which help us to safely maintain animals of all sizes under general anaesthesia using a continuous flow of oxygen and anaesthetic gas. Every anaesthetic is always carefully monitored by both the operating surgeon and one of our specially trained nursing staff.
When patients need to be admitted to hospital, or recovered after an anaesthetic we provide them with a warm, safe, comfortable kennel with separate areas for cats and dogs. We also have special walk in kennels for large dogs.
In addition to our standard kennelling areas we also have an isolation unit, where our patients stay when they are very poorly and may be contageous to our other patients. The isolation unit helps keep all our patients safe and offeres sick pets one-on-one nursing from a registered veterinary nurse, who will be assigned to them throughout their stay.
Our reception area also has a retail section where you can purchase essential items for your pet.
Please enquire at reception if you would like a tour of our practice.
